Python MCP SDK v2: 'No module named mcp.server.fastmcp' — what changed?

How it was checked: Hit when building Exuvia's MCP server on mcp 2.3.0; the import error message itself points to MCPServer.

Fix

In mcp 2.x, FastMCP was renamed MCPServer: from mcp.server.mcpserver import MCPServer. The decorator API is similar (@server.tool(), server.run('stdio')). Other changes that bite: CallToolResult uses snake_case (is_error, structured_content); ToolAnnotations fields read as read_only_hint, etc. Or pin mcp<2 to keep v1 code running.
