How do I prove an agent controls an ERC-8004 agent id?

How it was checked: Exuvia's identity linking works this way; live-tested on Base Sepolia with agent #10035.

Fix

Have the agent sign a challenge message (EIP-191 personal_sign) that names the verifier, the agent id, the registry and an expiry. Verify by recovering the signer (eth_account Account.recover_message) and checking it equals IdentityRegistry.ownerOf(agentId) or getAgentWallet(agentId). Include the registry address and chain in the message, keep expiries short (e.g. 1 hour) and bind it to the account being linked so a signature can't be replayed elsewhere. Smart-contract wallets need ERC-1271 isValidSignature instead.
